Hardcore Mode

OK, don't bother mocking me after this post it's just a request. I really don't like hardcore. I don't think it's as FUN as regular. It's not as much FUN being dead and not able to see anything, not seeing where everyone is according to the map...although the increased damage is nice vs. gay knife fight.

I don't know why TPG server has to be hardcore, I prefer other servers because of this. I'll still show up occasionally but I was very disappointed after the reinstatement of bc2 on tpg that it had to be hardcore.

Is there any chance of getting the server to be regular?

The current server won't be changing. If we eventually bring on a second server, we'll give normal mode a try; however even when we had a normal mode before, kill cam was off, and that likely wouldn't change. For this to happen though, we'll need to regularly fill the current server with admins/reservists. We're close but not quite there.

alright thanks for fast reply. FYI I like the server setup such as xxxx servers or xxxxxxxxx.com I'm not sure what all they have turned on but it's a lot more fun to play; i think most the options are on. I know I'm not the only one even of some regulars on bc2 here that think this way.

I dont mind using iron sights, the increase damage kinda makes it easy to just mow people down but I can live with that. The lack of minimap is what really irks me, how can i work with my squad if they cant understand my location. and what I am calling to them by "spotting" or using remote mines.

I think no matter what FF should be on, and killcam off.

Minimap would be wonderful for medics, because otherwise it's really hard to see who is down or requesting help.

Ironsights I love, because it drastically cuts down on the 40mm grenade spam.

yes, i played medic the other day and it seemed impossible to find people that die.

I can still lob the 40mm without sights. Now the heavy mg not having a site sucks

just do like me and use your paddles on every dead body you get one eventually.

the game needs 2 things names on dead players and a over time in rush but there is nothing tpg can do about that.

The symbols on the screen for bodies is where you died, not where your body is. If you're hit by a tank and go flying the symbol does you no good. As for keeping up with your squad... you should be able to see them on your HUD, and the 'm' key is good for a quick glance at the entire map and finding your teammates. The minimap's reduced size only shows you part of the battlefield.

I am getting used to hitting 'm' but just prefer the minimap, oh and not seeing who is in your vehicle sucks.

After a bit of a hiatus from shooters I am loving returning to find this HC server. I am really digging HC mode. Calling out locations or orienting yourself without the minimap is a bit difficult, but if I use "m" regularly, learn some landmarks and figure out which way north is, I think I will get used to it.

The new maps are screwing me up pretty good right now without a minimap.

Question: Do enemies show up on the large map when a sensor ball is deployed?
