i'm still in favor of turning "friendly fire" explosives on, the way it should be...if so, in the very least, a little bit of "justice" can be doled to those snipers that haphazardly toss claymores all over the place like a flower girl walking down the aisle...

As DoubleFISTIN said, there's a time and place for *active* Snipers.

Those who camp on a hillside, rooftop, or crane are worthless! And, as a Commander, I will not support them other than to "accidentally" drop a car or arty on their heads if they pester me for supply crate.

Snipers are only good for spotting.
Really if snipers only spotted and were more stealth they would be great for intelligence

Let's hope you are not being serious about "accidentally" dropping arty and cars on your own players heads. If you are, that act can land you in the banned forums.
