Plain and simple, Sharqi is the penis map.
Darktower and I noticed this when we first started playing BF2. We'd giggle a bit as every time we had to stare at it, we'd find another feature to reaffirm our discovery. I'm willing to bet that some map designer dude over at EA/Dice thought it would be funny or that it was just some inside joke. Sounds like the most plausible reason, but then again, maybe just a coincidence?
Either way, you be the judge.

The key to this map is controlling the tip. It's a sensitive region that could determine victory for one side or the other.
