No one even mention this on there but the star on next to the top player on the your squad list in your hud is your Squad Leader.... if someone can kindly post on the ea forums to see if my prediction is true it would be appriciated

Rushing Through Battlefield 3's Reworked Multiplayer

The Engineer can repair vehicles, and take them down. He also has this bizarre little addition: An underslung flashlight mounted to his weapon that can blind other players when its pointed at them. In action, that flashlight makes it hard to pinpoint an enemy, but not impossible to eventually hit them.

One flashlight to rule them all and in the darkness blind them......Like a continuous flashbang effect when pointed at enemy?

Not sure if I like the fact that the enemy can see who the SL is. Not know who the SL is on BF2 makes securing a flag a bit more challenging but more fun for me. It's all about the hunt.

Apparently, you can't make squads (they are made randomly and automatically), and the squad leader position is given to the player with the best score for that round (they do admit they aren't quite sure, they've only played for 10 minutes after all).

If it's true, I don't think I could even accurately express how fucking pissed and disappointed I am right now.... I mean, really? Nobody cares about who they are squadding with and if their SL is somewhat competent?

Oh, and they also stated at some point that you HAD to use the subway road to get to the other base. It's the first multiplayer map we've seen so far and it already shows even worst bottlenecks than you've ever seen in any BC2 map... Just imagine 64 players stuck in that tunnel.

Also, there's only one vehicle for the entire attacker team, and still no sign of any comm. rose (old news).

....At which point are we supposed to give up?

Reminds me of when the tore down Mile high Stadium to build Invesco Feild @ Mile High. I think the City of Denver Voted to Keep Mile High in the name, in exchange for subsidies. Now everyone just calls it Invesco. Funny.

Everyone just calls it Bad company 2, not BF:BC2......

PixelEnemy is or was hosting a Q/A event on IRC or something... Didn't get there, but apparently, those things have been confirmed regarding the squad system :

- Squad Leader spawn only. When he dies another squad mate becomes the squad leader/spawn point.
- Everyone in the squad can order attacks like Bad Company 2
- No squad leader special abilities

Well, I'll be playing BF2 for the rest of my life, apparently...

edit : The informations regarding the SL position switching to somebody else when the current SL dies has been denied by Demize. It's reassuring to say the least.
