so I know I'm going to be getting a gaming rig overhaul for my 21st bday My question is what equipment would be enough to run the game full specs but at a cheap price...

I give you this advice: get the new pc when they release specs... Honestly even if that's 6mths after your birthday it'll be the smartest move. Many people are speculating about pcs, there's no specs yet. Iif you HAVE to get it earlier I'd recommend using the Max BC2 stats as your MINIMUM requirements...

Look at the hottest games released in the last month and Look at the Recomended Specs rather than minimum requirements, I'd Wait till the end of the summer to buy one.

Think i7 processor, 1gig video Ram, SATA-III, fastest memory bus available..... never mind the hard drive or the amount of Ram; they're upgradable easely.

Can I stress no spec sheets out yet again just to point out a major piece of the puzzle... I'd wait. And wait some more. And maybe put some money aside for extras like pizza! Beer! And marshmallows. The BF3 demo that was run at GDC was run on a 'stock' rig from Alienware reportedly. Alienware usually doesn't have anything but enthusiast-level stuff in their boxes. Top of the line of everything.

Think quad core at a minimum. Think 500 series from nVidia or 69xx from ATI. 4-8 gigs of RAM should be plenty. Also consider picking up a motherboard that can do SLI/Crossfire so you can upgrade in the future should the need arise.
