I give you this advice: get the new pc when they release specs... Honestly even if that's 6mths after your birthday it'll be the smartest move. Many people are speculating about pcs, there's no specs yet. Iif you HAVE to get it earlier I'd recommend using the Max BC2 stats as your MINIMUM requirements...

Re: BF3 Fact
Can I stress no spec sheets out yet again just to point out a major piece of the puzzle... I'd wait. And wait some more. And maybe put some money aside for extras like pizza! Beer! And marshmallows. Everyone loves marshmallows. Marshmallows are like little sugary sponges of the gods, whispering "eat me! Eat me!".

The BF3 demo that was run at GDC was run on a 'stock' rig from Alienware reportedly. Alienware usually doesn't have anything but enthusiast-level stuff in their boxes. Top of the line of everything.
Think quad core at a minimum. Think 500 series from nVidia or 69xx from ATI. 4-8 gigs of RAM should be plenty. Also consider picking up a motherboard that can do SLI/Crossfire so you can upgrade in the future should the need arise.Last edited by WileECyte; 03-09-11 at 01:20 PM.
