If you still want to be sarcastic, by all means, go for it.
I know you as a long-time BF2 regular which did some amazing priming and whatnot.
I also know you as an admin from the previous BC2 run (I think).

So my question is, why did you come in here, accusing the admins (as you pointed out, volunteers), as only serving the things they like? That is a very serious accusation, which called for a serious response.

Edit: When you could have just as easily expressed your opinion without insulting anyone, as the rest have done in the other 13 pages of this thread. Expecting special treatment because you've been here a long time isn't going to happen, at least not from me.

If I recall correctly, the main reason the first BC2 servers didn't go so well was the lag issues many players had.

He answered your question, you just don't like the answer. It had nothing to do with personal preference, and we've got plenty of admins (including high admins) that don't prefer HC mode. But it's the mode that best assured success, and so it was selected.

An open question I have floating around in my head is would having a 2nd server (vanilla) really detract from the 1st server? Seeing how there are so many die hard HC players here and that the server attributes some or most of it's success to this mode, why would having a 2nd change that?

I personally don't think it would, provided admins and regs are willing to split time between both servers. There are enough people here that prefer one mode or the other, that it should be no hassle for them to want to prime their prefered game mode. The game's popularity (especially for HC mode) should take care of the rest

I think the point that many are trying to make is that just because an HC server is successful it does not mean that a vanilla, or some combination of vanilla and HC, will not be successful. For that matter someone go dig up the post from the CoD series where bigdog himself said that any game without a viable HUD is not teamplay. And no one here has stated that vanilla wouldn't be successful......in fact, most have stated the opposite. It's a pretty tough argument to say that HC was the wrong choice, givin its success. In fact, the success of the HC server is the only reason we are even talking about a vanilla server. You had to refer to a post that was made years ago to even imply that HC mode in BC2 lacks teamplay, and the ideals of the community. I think we all know that isn't the case.
