When regualrs like Coyote Warlady and HeavyG voice their disapproval, it shows that there is discontent with how the game is being presented. These aren't fringe types. These are you're run of the mill type TPG'ers like me.

In fact when TTP had the HC COD4 server, it lagged behind the Regular for the same type of reasons. It stifled teamplay and promoted camping.

And when you have TPG regs like Myself, isnew, evilblackjack (who got us the server back to begin with) most of the 5th clan, VTRX who hasnt weighed in (both who enjoy hardcore) your point is mute.

If it aint broke, dont fix it. We have had 4 severs, tried various combination, HC, rush only, Conquest only, Regular, etc...And now we finally have a server, that stays populated, gets numbers, and has brought basically an entire clan to our community that are on thier way to be regs.

Don't try to compare COD with BC2...2 totally different games. You all live in a fantasy world if you think no one in vanilla camps/snipes. Whenever you have a game that has as big as maps as BC2, there will always be campers. If you want a fast paced game, go play Counter Strike....

Disclaimer: im not saying the above are all positive reasons, im simply stating why I like hard core.

I play on the server but prefer Regular.

But it was broke and was fixed with the addition of TS which hasn't been tried with vanilla, myself and many others asked for a TS server for BC2 long before hardcore I just wonder how that would have worked would we even be having this conversation?

I love the damage settings in HC. A gun should drop you in 1-3 hits, not 6-7 but I can only take being raped by a sniper that I can not spot out for so long. To me having the ability to spot out a hidden foe is balancing for the one shot kills. Sure you can kill me in 1 shot, but if I can spot you out then you won't be camping long. If TPG would run an instance of a Vanilla server I probably would play it more than HC.

I would not prime a vanilla server. Hell, i BARELY played on TPG when it had 4 before, until we finally got a hardcore server. It's all I play, I can not deal with unloading an entire clip into someone, reload, just so they can shoot a 40mm grenade or gustav at me and be done with. I seriously HATE vanilla, with a passion...

Further, I do not feel we have the player base yet to maintain 2 servers. And honestly, is it worth it? It is no secret that vanilla servers are not as popular as HC...so really...Is there a market to tap into?
