The key (vanilla-heads) is to use the available comms to get ppl onto the server, make sure to let your friends know when you're going on, consistent traffic is key!

No round should last longer than an hour. I think all bf2 and 2142 servers are 30min max per round. Not simply when tickets run out.

i dunno heavy metal is a long fuckin map dont think i've ever seen the clock run out on a bc2 round even when priming it always waits for ticket loss

BC2 does not have a round timer. It's straight tickets.

But can't the tickets be adjusted I know I've been on servers with high ticket count ?
