Thread: Is battlefield 2 worth installing?

I actually decided to try P4F just because of someone talked about it here. I played BF Heros when I had my old toshiba just because it was the only BF game i could run next to 1942. I actually isn't that bad for what you pay, which is 0. The game style is more like BC2 then BF2. But when you don't pay in cash you pay with your ass. I made an assualt soldier, because you only can be one kit the entire time you play. Hated having only a G3, hated that I only got 2 fucking clips, thats 40 rounds for a gun that blows 3 rounds for ever 1 that hits. Unless you pay for credits to buy the better guns, your gonna die... Alot. Like a really shit load lot. You can play to get experience for temporary unlocks, but some of the guns people are using would take you 3 days to earn for 1 day of use. Good way to kill some time, if you're not worried about you blood presure.

What could be more Free BF2 for 6 YEARS at a cost of 40$ or 40$ in your first week of BFP4F.

I'll admit, I talked it up, But it was a bad Idea. A bad Business Model. Free to pay.

I think he already has BF2 he just want's to know if it's worth spending the time installing it. Which it really is. BF2 is one of the most active servers here on TPG and the game is still fun. You just don't get the same people play that you use to.

I just RE BOUGHT BF2, just paid 20 bucks out wazoo. And I am having a really hard time with the graphics, and the fact that the SRAW wont take out the walls you're hiding behind.

Why did you Re-buy it? I'll take medium graphics with 64 vs High graphics with only 32 and not jets any day of the week.

Mango - yes, it is worth to install it. There are still some great competitive games being played. Make sure you install the patches in order and if you run into any issues, check the sticky. We look forward to seeing you on the battlefield.

I missed it. the Jets, the lil bird, all the little things, a minimap, C4 in a respectable uniform, Squad leaders that do shit, Working Squad based Voip.
I still have ranks to proceed on.

Nasty Virii, from a Scanner Repair Manual PDF download site. Ripped through the hard drive and blew out a few electrical outlets, tossed a brick through the window and keyed my car. And my hard copy was scratched.
