    + a googolplexian.

    Excellent.

In my opinion, Recon is called Recon for a reason. Oh sure, it has all the sniper rifles and it is very tempting to just sit back a snipe the whole time. But that's not what the class means to me. I play Recon in an extremely aggressive manner. I hardly ever sit back and snipe unless my squad needs it. Most of the time I am right up in the front lines with everyone, and it works pretty well for me, let me tell you. Sometimes I AM the front line. I often find myself the first to any flag that needs capping, and I often find myself the only one pushing to take out boxes. And I always wonder "How come I am the only one here?"

Well, most of my points come from extra points while killing. Avenger, vehicle destroyed, spotting, etc. I play other things from time to time. My vision sucks so I need something I can zoom with so a sniper rifle fits that bill.

I love squadding with guys like you and party, not because y'all make me look good, but because you think on your feet quicker than i can, and get to the action quickly with surgical accuracy most times. I will admit there are times i like to sit back and snipe, but ONLY when the team is not in a precarious position. When the pressure is on, i want to be with a squad that pushes back.

When defending, its the other way around. I have had 10 point rounds because i stuck my ass on the m-com while with a stellar team. I've been the only one there and i killed that one guy that managed to sneak through the line and could have changed the entire game. Yup, its boring as watching paint dry, but if that's my job that's what i do, fuck the KDR and fuck the points if it means the win.

These are certainly not new instances, but I thought I'd mention yet remind our regs of what not/to do:

If you get TK'd, use chat to investigate who and why. Please do not complain about a single TK in teamspeak especially if the TKer isn't mowing down friendlies in base. If you type the complaint in chat, you're more likely to get a personal response from the perp as well as an admins attention.

If anyone is asked, yelled, slayed or kicked for not pushing the objective - the admin has singled the player out for non-teamplaying by showing low support for camping. A camping recon can easily be helpful just as much unhelpful - this is where usage of Teamspeak/VOIP is very necessary! Communicating with your team is essential for recon duties - NOT camping a spot just because it's a vantage point to gain personal kills.

Thanks for reading and see you on the field!
