I'm going with music history teacher. Also, he's a very sensitive man and cries a lot, which is pretty clear by the box of tissue on the desk within arms reach.

Presentation was for classes (I'm an IT professional, trying to finish up my studies: in music, and computer science). Alas, that's where I was last weekend (instead of getting frags)... on the upside I scored well
.
True per my being an opera aficionado -- though maybe more correct to say I'm all around music slut (classic, punk, blues, hip-hop, reggae, classic-rock).
Headset is a Plantronics, I believe model 355. I paid too much, getting it at staples (additional $15 for instant satisfaction). It sells at newegg for ~$20. It sounds good enough, as does its microphone, and it has analog connectors (so no USB head-aches [trying to get things working with a 2005 game]). Best of all, there is room on the sides to add Rank Stickers... can't wait to shed those sargeant stripes :
# mine
Newegg.com - PLANTRONICS .Audio 355 3.5mm Connector Circumaural Stereo Headset
# some others, more fancy (mine worked just fine for me)
Newegg.com - PLANTRONICS .Audio 655 USB Connector Circumaural Stereo Headset
Newegg.com - PLANTRONICS .Audio 995 USB Connector Circumaural Digital Stereo Headset
Nice one bob... alas, the box of tissues is on the Better-Half's side of the table... I think she had a cold or something ... general house mess
.
Nothing like Deutsch to bring fear into the hearts of everyone. Even if one doesn't know it (yet) -- They Fear The Germans! ACHTUNG!!! Alas, I'm a Mediterranean, and fall for the romantics - thus Verdi and Rigoletto for now.
best,
donfede
