Re: who is going to proceed with their preorder?
well I am going to go ahead and keep my pre-order.
It is not the EA/DICE deserve my money they don't and it is not that I condone no voice over IP I don't
But after speaking with my brother he has me convinced that the single player and coop modes alone justify the price and if in the end the multiplayer never get voip? well he was quick to point out that neither did BC2 but I still played till I got every unlock for each class in the game.
So as much as I hate EA's seeming desire to ram it's junk up my kiester I am going to bite the pillow and keep and play the game.

Re: who is going to proceed with their preorder?
I found this interesting podcast with Daskro from 20ID. Been playing with and against him for about 6 years in bf games. He is actually the only friend that still uses xfire on a daily basis. I cant wait to get back into things and meet new players from all different walks of life. From their comments this game is gonna be incredible. Multiple times I have heard that the game now is soo much better than what we got to experience in the open beta. So I guess it was very true that the game they have for launch is more advanced and taken care of than what we all experienced.
So with that being said I was thinking that with all of the vehicles that are going to be there in most of the maps the class to play will prolly be Engineer to start off. Land mines and rockets will be overpowered. So my recommendation would be level that first and lets get rocking. Just watch/listen to that podcast and you will feel much much better about this game !!!

Re: who is going to proceed with their preorder?
Really? If thats how you feel maybe its time for you to go? This is a gaming community where we discuss those games and lets be honest the conversations for the good parts are always going to be a much shorter conversation. Which leaves everyone talking about the fail aspect of the game.
Personally i feel the ea/dice has missed a prime opportunity. BF2 is still the best in the series. Its not hard to figure out thats because the setup. They were told what people wanted and people to this day still buy BF2. So if your going to make a game and call it BF3 it should at least match the game its being the sequel for.
Then you have to take into account the track record for them fixing their own games. Hasn't been a very good track record imo. So they took what could have been a bad ass game and watered it down to a BC3 or 4 which ever they are on in that series.
Not that i know how ea or dice operates but these negative comments could be what they use to determine what people want and what needs to be fixed. I have no idea if ea even reads shit from other forums but i would have to assume the more you post about something the more likely they are to read it.
However i do understand how it can get annoying reading the same thing over and over. At that point you have to remind yourself that just because you've had that conversation doesn't mean everyone else has and that this is still a gaming forum. So these conversations will go on as long as there are games to talk about. So at this point im tossed up on whether i will buy the game to have sitting on a shelf collecting dust like BC2.

Ouch ... The conversaitions/arguements that go on here in my mind are ok, Even though there are a lot of haters foir certain aspects of the game. It is still thier POV. I take everything into consideration and it makes me think as well about what other have to say.

Re: who is going to proceed with their preorder?
WAY ahead of you. Got a team brewing, including a very talented professional game designer (EA' does not have any of these), hes got the game doc pretty much done (its stupid long, gives the yellow pages a run for their money). I've got a lot of the engine systems done, but we are working on getting funding for a cryengine licenses, which for those of you who know, will take a while, we'll likely have to make a game just to get the funding's, then well make the jaw dropper.
And trust me, even though its cliche for a game developer to say their game will be the shit, trust me, it will be the shit.
