Re: challenging badges
Don,
To be honest with ya. I haven't looked at my stats in like 3 some years. So, I don't know if I have all the badges or not. I'm pretty sure I missing like 100 of them. I just play the game for team work, friends (I hope I'm considered someone's friend ), T-bag'ing everyone with anything and fun. You could be right I might have all the badges. Must be all the GP'ing... O, by the way GMG sucks...
Respectfully,

Re: challenging badges
lol look at my stats!! I don’t have the knife badge, the pistol badge, the explosives badge, the engi badge hahahah...you either waste a whole day trying to get that on TPG or go to one of those stat padding servers where it’s pistols only server or c4 only server and stat pad the shit out of that server. Plus, isn’t it boring and dangerous to run around behind a tank with a wrench while 32 players shoot at you?

Re: challenging badges
wow I do WTF, how’d I get that?!! I just checked...I don’t have the Expert pistol badge...that takes 18 kills in a round...that’s why I don’t have it..it’s impossible in TPG. And I got the veteran knife badge because it didn’t have a “In A Round” requirement. Like I said, you need to join one of those stat padding servers to get that crap.
One of the badges I’m most proud of and translates into one of the most USEFUL IN GAME is the Expert Command Badge though
I’m missing ALOT of expert badges, like transport badge...armor badge, I think ground defense badge, engy, explosives, pistol etc etc

ACK CleanFreak per repairing trucks for the expert engi badge. Engi repair points come from repairing 100% of an object (vehicle or asset) - as light transport (trucks and jeeps) have less health, they are also quicker to repair/get-points. The Blackhawk on the other hand, has a pile of health (and correspondingly requires significant repairing to get 1 point). I was not aware that repairing bridges counted for repair points however.
I disagree with others that laugh at engis repairing while getting shot at... they keep essential assets on the front-lines, rather than losing time regenerating and schlepping up from the back-lines. A better engi can avoid that fire. As per the crummy experience - we have it easy compared to the real heroes of army-corps-of-engineers US Army Corps of Engineers - HQ .
To the 3* gens - no surprise that you've not looked at your stats, as you already completed them :-P ;-) . While badges should be taken with a grain of salt, I do see their value (stats padding is easy; but so is air/armor whoring; ultimately they are for each individual as no-one really cares about other people's badges). They encourage a player to explore (and ideally improve/perfect) different aspects of the game. Chances are low that I would have ever picked up the sniper kit much, if it was not for the badge. Similarly, my pistol aim improved drastically as I worked up to my pistol badge. As others have noted, many badges are required to rank up (i'm glad I made it to Sergeant Major [with badges], rather than Master Gunnery Sergeant [without badges]). The end goal of general won't happen without most badges (it surprises me to see people in our community with the time and points for general, but missing a badge and thus the rank).
Others, thx for the feedback on your successes .
see you in the field,
donfede
