If they consider it suspicious behavior and ban for it I'd say they have a problem with it. The Twitter posts do not read to me that it is ok to do but rather that it is simply not a crime to do so.

Also I wouldn't consider it a stretch at all, in fact I don't see a difference in either case. your doing something that gives you an advantage over the rest of the players who waited.

Then it would fall under the same category as steam saying it's ok to buy a new steam Id to by-pass VAC bans allowing you to gain access to servers you shouldn't have access to. We don't allow that either.

The hell? you say! well let me brake this one down for you.

You are modifying your computer to gain early access to a game that you should not have access to. This means awards , unlocks and experience on maps your fellow TPG members ( and all the others ) who actually played by the rules and waited will now be behind the curve. You have done something to give your self an unfair advantage.

And while perhaps not enforceable ( or maybe it is) by our standards here, it shows the kind of player you are and puts you on the radar to watch for further exploits.

Are you actually being serious? I can't tell if you're trolling at this point.

1) No I am not hacking/exploiting as we define it here at TPG. If you think I am, go ahead and find that part for me and post it here, because I must have missed it. (Honestly, do this. If it's there somewhere, I'll admit I'm wrong.)

2) I am not modifying my computer any any way, shape or form other than using a proxy. It's damn ridiculous to say this is modifying my computer. That's akin to say you're modifying your computer by changing your ISP.

3) An unfair advantage? I did this so I could play single player while I wait for the TPG server to come up. I have played MAYBE an hours worth of multiplayer and co-op combined just to check them out. The only thing that unlocked was a scope for the first rifle. I did not do this to gain an unfair advantage over anyone else like you are accusing me of (which is completely fucking asinine of you by the way).

4) Rules: Again, I have not violated the T.O.S. nor the rules of TPG (As far as I can tell).

Are you actually fucking serious? This is a ridiculous statement and even more asinine than the accusation of doing this to get an advantage over everyone else. Throwing out ridiculous comments like this does not make you look respectable.
I would seriously be disappointed of this community if something like this put me on the radar.

Some people follow the letter of the law, and others follow the intent of the law. Neither is against the law, but someone who is in the opposite camp as you is likely to have an opinion about your choice one way or the other.

Possibly, but when you mask your IP so you can connect to a server in Asia, THEN complain that servers half way around the world are laggy, then expect people to feel the same exact way about you. Right?
