BF3 thoughts

One thing I noticed today is if it hasn't assigned you to a squad yet you have to hit a button that says something like cancel squad assignment first instead of leave squad. If there is a check next to unsquaded try that.

I believe (based on BC2 extrapolation) Your SL can use the spotting marker to initiate "attack/defend here" and just say "spawn on the flag with the attack/defend marker" Also once yoursquad caps or kills someone trying to recap that particular flag, they will get some bonus points for following orders.

If you click on a point to spawn at (A, B, ...) it will start blinking on your spawn map to show you which flag it is.

The cap points are clearly labeled in game. However, on the respawn screen, they are not labeled on the map, but spawnable sites are listed under your squad. Click on one of those and the corresponding site will blink on the mini map just like Blood said.

EA Origin "Spyware" Issue and BF3 Bad Reviews

So I never played BF2 so maybe that's why I don't think BF3 is that bad but I was reading some of the reviews on amazon and they are horrible.

The vast majority of the reviews were bad

Is the game really that bad? As I stated before I never played BF2 so its difficult for me to compare. I can tell you that in the 30 minutes I played BC2 and the few hours I played BF3, I liked BC2 better because it seems more simple to pick up. The only thing I really like about BF3 is the graphics.

Also in reading some amazon reviews I found that a lot of people were complaining about the Origin software having spyware??

I like the game except for a few controllable issues, TK'S are fucking out of control and maybe it because of the noobness but when I'm tked by the same person in the same round multiple times it's out of control and this. http://i.imgur.com/x10hX.png

Tk's are pretty Redic. I have tk'd a few people and the first round I played over there and realized maybe this wasn't the best place to get used to my new rig and even used to a new game. But I'll be back once I'm up and gunning again.

Reviews are going to be bad with any game that requires an active internet connection.
Reviews are going to be bad with any game that requires some sort of DRM.

Unfortunately the damn pirates have to ruin everything.

I think BF3 has the same red/blue tag bug that we've seen in EVERY Battlefield game. I had a guy with a blue tag kill me... Thought it was a TK, but he was on the opposing force. There are others who have said the same thing. the other issue is the name tags render WAY too slowly. You have to be practically on top of a guy to know if he's a good guy or bad guy.... even if you're staring right at him down your iron sights/reticle/scope.
