Re: Concerning Operation Metro
Isn't BF3 set up so it has ticket bleed and body count bleed? If that is the case and your team isn't the one to cap B let them come down or out to you. Way too many people itching to be the hero rather than wait for tickets to go down could help even out the points.

Yep. Ticket bleed is what generally wins Metro. Whichever team controls and holds the B flag wins. The cap area for the flag is large enough that the team that starts in the subway tunnels can cap at the top of the first set of escalators pressed up against the wall... between that and the second set of escalators... if they can get there and hold their own... it's an easy win for them. For the other team to win, you have to keep them out of both sets of escalators.

10-31-11, 09:26 AM #17I like metro too. If you are in ts you can get your squad to move slowly and carefully you can make significant advances. Last night my squad was crawling towards c and would have neutralized it if we had 4 more minutes.
I say keep it even though it sucks it is part of the game. We run full rotation unless there is a flaw which can be used to take advantage eg you can shoot people from this rock but people can't shoot you. Sort of bug.

The map is fine.. The stairwell is key.. Pay attention to where they are making the larger pushes. you have the left and right side of both escalators and then the stairwell. With some coordination and a good squad leader you can cap the flag from behind.

Op Metro is the only time I'd like all team in one channel, then you can TRY to coordinate a push on all 3 entrys.
But I've noticed if a just 1 squad rushes in through the stairs, most of the team is watching the escalators, and you can mow down quite a few before dying...and hopefully you're teammates notice and break through

For the longest time most players didn't have Tampa. We went from full server to 10 people at times. Everyone complained and groaned, but a few of us loved that map.. that map let me shoot roo out of a jet with a tank.
It may take a little time for people to learn How it works, but I say give it a little time and more will love it.
