Veteran Status

I've noticed some of you have the Veteran Status in your Battlelog profiles, how is that done? I'd like to have that added to m y profile as well.

This very well may have been covered before, but searching thru every thread to find it is impossible.

You will likely have to talk to EA Support. For me, all my EA games have always been with the same account. My guess is you've had multiple EA accounts through the years, or didn't register your games with your accounts.

I figured out what the issue is... it's Origin. It would'nt let me register with my "actual" callsign, so in making a new name I lost the Veteran status.

WileE is correct though. EA has made several account and profile merges over the years. In the proccess you likely got merged with an account that didn't have all of the titles counted. The same thing happened to me as well. I called (well rather chatted with) EA support and they got it all straightened out. I went from veteran status of 1 to veteran status of 5.

Get on the horn with EA Support. Took me about 20 minutes.

Sent via highly charged bolt of electricity.

After an hour online with tech support trying to get this resolved, the end result was nothing. Nothing they could/would do about it.

Apparently; according to them; somebody "else" registered on Origin using my name, but not playing BF3. WTF that has to do with my using my callsign in BF3 is anybody's guess.

So, unless I miss my guess, anybody can have their game name hijacked with Origin, and they don't even need to own the game you play.

It's first come first serve, and too bad for you if some knucklehead signs up to play tiddly-winks online thru Origin and chooses your name.

Stupid EA.

They were able to help me with mine. I don't think you need anything other than your account email(s), screen names, master id's (or whatever their being called these days) and passwords, if you have multiple accounts. They might ask you to confirm your game keys but that should be just about it. For me, it was surprisingly simple.

The veteran status is broken as hell anyway. EA won't recognize most of my battlefield CD keys

But anyway, why should we give a crap about a meaningless number to begin with?

I had some issues with entering CD keys - did a 10 min online chat with EA customer support. Gave them my EA email registration and my Origin email and they instantly added my veteran status for all the BF titles. They didn't need CD keys or anything else.

So if you are having an issue just contact Support by phone or chat and they should get it straight. What it got me - other than the little medals was the M1911 pistol - so why not right.

I did it so I can show off my prestige of playing the Battlefield series and be a total noob on the new one.
