Some Advice
I'll warn you now, this post is going to be very unorganized. By the end, your eyes will probably be bleeding from the horrible format and structure. It's also going to be very arrogant and cocky. But by the end, hopefully you will have learned something.
1) THE POINT OF WINNING IS NOT CAPTURING OBJECTIVES. Get that thought out of your head right now. Depleting the other teams tickets is the point of the fucking game. While objectives are an important aspect of winning, they are not the only contributor. If you can't seem to understand this, then you need to go back to basics and probably won't understand the where I'm coming from in regards to the rest of this post.
2) K/D is important. Here's why:
a) 1 kill = 1 ticket taken away from the other team.
b) 1 death = 1 ticket taken away from your team.
Basic shit right? Apparently not because some people con't seem to grasp this concept.
e.g. "I'll rush the flag 50+ times if it helps my team cap it!" NO, just fucking NO. Congratulations! You've just lost your team 50 fucking tickets because you "Play the objective" instead of sitting back killing people and waiting for the CORRECT moment to try and cap the flag.
A K/D score of 50 and 12, even though many of you people think it's useless, takes away 50 tickets from the enemy team and 12 tickets for yours. Now let's throw revives in there. Your K/D ratio is roughly 5 and 1. So on that 5th kill we'll say you die and the enemy gets revived. That means that for every 1 ticket you lose, they lose 4. So on a 350 ticket map
you alone have taken away about 10% of their total tickets. Tell me you can't see why that doesn't help and I'll show you why you're wrong.
This in turn means that if you could camp a spot where you can go 50 and 1 (which I have done), you have just taken off a SIXTH (20%) of the enemies tickets while costing jack shit to your own, all by your fucking self. Now, add capturing points, destroying vehicles and supporting people with health/ammo. It all adds up fucking quick.
**Not sure if I want to throw sniper into this mix. They usually can't get enough kills for this tactic to be effective.**
So stop this whiny bullshit about K/D meaning nothing just because you're not good enough to get one decent enough to make an impact on the game. So saying that people that go for high K/D scores are playing with the wrong people, and should "go fuck yourselves" (exact words) is fucking stupid.
All that aside. If you can find a nice mix between playing the objectives and getting a good K/D ratio, you're going to be doing your team a lot more good than the bullshit you're doing now.
3) You're score DOES represent your contribution to your team. There are only a few conditions in which a low scoring person has contributed to the team the entire game. Being Anti-Air is one of them. But honestly, with the addition of stinger missiles, you're pushing it by just sitting in AA all game long.
That's my rant. Sorry I cuss so much. It's not because I'm trying to belittle anyone. It's because I cuss alot.
I had a lot more to add this morning before I left for class, but I had to cram for an exam and forgot most of it. But, it's cool. I'm sure I'll be replying to many, many posts trying to tell me why I'm wrong or why I'm an asshole. But I'm not wrong and being an asshole doesn't make me wrong.
Edit: Also, I'll nip this in the butt right now, because I can see someone throwing it my way. I don't sit and camp, I play the objectives. Find someone I've been in a squad with that says I don't. But this doesn't make my argument any less valid.Last edited by Hustle; 11-03-11 at 06:43 PM.

I'll disagree with you. You're obviously very new to the Battlefield series. If you don't control the majority of the flags, you will bleed tickets at a fairly high rate, no matter your K/D ratio. Kills are important, but holding territory is more important. The team with the best K/D doesn't always win. This isn't team death match. The team that holds the most flags and keeps their K/D in check, wins.

Re: Some Advice
Pote and I counted the ticket bleed this afternoon on one of the maps with 5 flags. For the team that held 4 out of the 5 flags the enemy would lose 3 tix every 3 seconds. Pretty hefty bleed and I doubt your super K/D ratio would be able to top that.

Re: Some Advice
Holding the flags burns tickets way faster than a team could hope to kill.
In addition, capping a flag gives another place for your team to spawn at, which also helps out the team. k/d is truly meaningless because kills doesn't actually mean the number of enemy tickets you have taken.
Most maps(metro/damavand excluded) rushing the flags works exceedingly well. The times you notice it doesn't work and your squad is mowed down is probably because you aren't pushing up with them and are instead 'camping and waiting'.
From my experience, when a squad moves together, they take the flag they are assaulting nearly 100% of the time.Last edited by Blah64; 11-03-11 at 06:54 PM.

Re: Some Advice
"Hey guys! Try not to suck and die while taking objectives. I'm a sniper/medic/support/engi and killing people is a good thing. Much better than dying a lot. I also push the objectives to, pretty much a healthy mix to win the round."
What is your advice again?
