What are the current bugs? How poor is multiplayer performance? How over/under balanced are things?
I want to know what current state the game is in (which I am assuming is poor, since this is EA we are talking about). Convince me why I should hold on getting the game, or, if you feel like a challenge, why I should get it.Why no rank?
Because that isn't why or how I play.

Re: Convince me NOT to get BF3
The fun of the game and the fact that you will be playing on a TPG server far outweigh the bugs.
- No in game voip so you have to use TPG's Teamspeak which is working out quite well imo
- Bugs where friendly's tags appear hostile every once in a while
- No way to join a squad by yourself/start your own squad, squad menu in general is clunky
- Some maps are laggy when server is full
- Team balance is shitty as it won't move people if they are in squads so you end up with up to 3 to 4 people unbalances
Otherwise I love the game. Great game play, awesome graphics, great team players, ability to blow up walls and buildings so deal with campers, recon can play with non sniper rifles, and much more.
Get the game I need more dog tags!

Re: Convince me NOT to get BF3
The longer you wait to get this game, the farther behind you will fall from the competition. Bugs or not its a fun game and everyone has been having a great time playing it. Everyone that is playing now is learning all the nuances, how the weapons and vehicles handle, and where the hot spots on the maps are. They are getting better every day they play. You are not. Its your loss if you "hold out" till everything is fixed...

The game is fun. You will have fun playing it. TPGers make it even more fun. I can look past all the other crap because in the end it leads to fun. Honestly there are no game breaking bugs and I personally like all the maps. I prefer some over other but as long as I'm having a good time I'm not focused on level design. I'm not by any means playing this game seriously. Battlefield has never been about that for me. I love the team atmosphere and working as a cohesive unit and BF3 allows me to due that..... a lot.

So, let me get this straight:
EA apparently has a relatively bug-free Battlefield game only a week or so after release? I'm calling shenanigans. There has to be some horrible, horrible problem with the game, otherwise it just doesn't seem right.
Would it help people come up with some problems if I say I play mostly as a sniper? Why no rank?
Because that isn't why or how I play.

BF3 players are all noobs so you will be able to get caught up within like 1 hour if you play CS:S instead.
Benefits to CS:S
IN GAME VOIP
Cool guns, fun people, great calls. Why, I'm about to play right now!
IN GAME VOIP
A variety of fun weapons, and no one is obsessed with flying jets and crap
IN GAME VOIP
Also, Skyrim and diablo3 are coming out soon. Save your money/time for them. Collect goofy statistical crap and unlock guns or whatever dumb crap BF3 is pandering on you in a nice RPG. Play Diablo3 with TPG folks. Get your FPS kicks from CS:S! Yeahhhh!!!!!!!Join the TPG Folding @ home team: http://www.teamplayergaming.com/pc-h...ding-team.html
