Thread: BACK TO KARKAND TRAILER

One of the BF2 stats sites I used to look at had cost per hour based on $50 for the game. I think I got it for less than that, but with my 500+ hours I think it was about a penny an hour. Even if you quadruple that to the $200 that some people expect all of the DLCs to cost you are up to $0.04/hour. Find me any other entertainment that I can choose for that cost.

Thank you sir, I couldn't remember which one it was.

My math was off, it is almost 9 cents per hour, so assuming the same play time in BF3 I will be at about 30-35 cents per hour.

Either way, cheap entertainment.

I thought Northern Strike was a great deal too until I realized that there were so few people to play with and that I had to find a dedicated NS server to play any of them.

This one might have a widespread selection of servers running it and players playing it because it comes bundled with the game if you preordered, but subsequent releases will just diminish in community more and more.

Let DLC be guns skins gadgets or whatever to keep the community whole, but maps that most wont buy just make it difficult to play with friends.

I agree that it makes it difficult on a community like TPG, but I think most "friends" will buy the DLC if they just want to play together.

I have 850 hours tracked (Game released 6 months or so before play time tracking began) on $29 so far. The game is free now too.

Team Fortress 2 on Steam

You asked for it.

I agree though, the battlefield games have been in general a good buy. I'm just not interested in DLC that I have to go to special servers to play. Especially at $15 a pop.
