Why do they have to charge for them! I want to play Sharqi, Oman and Wake with Frostbite so bad!

Karkand can piss off ... meat-grinder map. Probably why it was so popular!

I never really liked any of these maps in BF2 (minus Oman), but it's still far better than anything DICE made for BF3 so far

It's sad that TPG won't host it, but I understand the reasons why.

Who said TPG wouldn't host it? I think they just aren't hosting it yet because it hasn't been released except to those that pre-ordered or something like that. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

You are wrong. It is no different than NS for 2142. When one of these 4 maps comes up in the rotation we would lose 50% or so of the server. Management isn't willing to risk that.

They said they won't host it as long as it isn't available for free to everyone, and honnestly, I do not think it'll ever happen...

anyway, I had to go on the EA UK forums to get my dose of pessimism...

Karkand, which is kind of clusterfucked (for a pre-bad company game) as been slightly scaled down. It's basically like the 32p version of the map, with one more flag on the east shore

BF3 Karkand
You can now not run out of sprint from gas station to factory....will you be able to crawl under the train cars.

Karkand has too many memorable battles and tactics were discussed in the BF2 forum on the best way to win that map from a river stalemate.

just saw the SS of map,,,there is no Factory..it's the 32 player size map BF3 is using
