So, Damavand Peak...
I would like to gauge the community's feelings about Damavand Peak... personally, I think the map is extremely poorly designed. It is simply no fun to play on, even in a communicating squad, as there are very, very few routes to get to any of the points. All of these routes are long firing lanes that simply can't be advanced through... provided the team that first gets to C puts forth minimal effort to cover these narrow areas. No amount of communication
The only route that isn't a certain death trap if the other team is half competent (which, if they get C first, is generally the case) is the helicopter over the mountain to the rear points... the success rate of this aerial attack is small. That is it. Why does this map have to remain in the rotation, and can we please consider it's removal?
I would like to ask the thoughts of other players as well- I don't think I am the only one who doesn't enjoy this map in the slightest...TF2 Backpack: http://www.tf2items.com/profiles/76561197992443726

Should probably keep both in there to avoid having only 7 maps in rotation, but I'm sure no one would mind if they're at the very bottom.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
Bigdog-Sweet home Alabama you are an idiot.

Damavand peak is one tough cookie, it is borderline, most definitely the second worst map, operation metro being the worst (I would not be sad seeing that map go....) But in my opinion it's not so one sided like operation metro. A few good squads can take c with gusto (I've done it many times).also the aerial route is allot successful that you think, providing you have a focused squad. C flag is the main draw simply because of its central location, it has 6 entry points that are basically shooting galleries, but it goes both ways. Clearing those hallways can take some nerve but it happens, the main tunnel is gray for surprise entry too I find. Yes if your team isn't pushing its a shooting gallery but it's nowhere near as one sided as operation metro.

Oh come on it's not that bad. I even like op metro because it breaks up all the other traditional maps on the rotation. I don't want see any map go unless it's for glitching/exploit reasons. B2K we probably won't even be hosting due to player fragmentation.

Re: So, Damavand Peak...
the heli drop works like a charm. if your dont outright cap both points which leads to a quick end, and if only to cause a distraction to push c.
OT: metro tactics are changing quickly, I see the US team winning more and more. besides that its suppost to be a head on conflict. imm happy to play it, and happy to change maps when its over. you just gotta go balls out get a shotty and jump the corners and blast away till your put down.

I like Damavand. Adapt and overcome. The other team can't have 30 people at C, and 30 more on their side of the mountain, so attack where they are weak. The other day the opposing team somehow ended up with both choppers, so we had 2-3 squads back defending A/B, which let them cap C. Also, the map is split 53/47 US wins, so the 3rd most balanced map.
As for Metro, it is 59/41 US, which when we first started playing I was always told the Russians got to B first, so they always win. Now we see that is not true at all.
PS - I hate all the jet maps, so let's remove those too, and have a 2 map rotation with Bazaar and Teheran? Le sigh...
