They had that as the first slide at my National sales meeting last year.

I love it!

Mr. Sampson's life as a diplomat to the Draki has led him to a rather dull egsistance. In general the Draki don't have very much to do with him. Meetings with any official via face to face are extremely rare. The terminal that the Draki usually deal with him through is also frequently blank. He has even gotten tired of his 'tours' of various Draki sites as the hassle of arranging a 'translator' and 'official guide' to the site usually takes days to set up. The when he gets there the Draki populace see his blue metalic choker of Diplomacy and avert their eyes, and answer as briefly as possible. He'd never felt so alienated before in his life. The Draki populace really didn't trust or wish to deal with 'aliens'.

Suddenly the terminal pings at an odd hour, disturbing the last good book he brough allong with him, (the dam Draki librarys were no help). The terminal tells him that he should get to one of the office suits at the 'palace' as soon as possible.

He arrives shortly, and is ushered into an office with a harried Draki official and the ever present 'translator'.

"What does your government know about the actions of the ITD?"

"Actions? Uh... well, the Emperor is dead, we're locked in a civil war, and we're fighting a brutal campaign against the Joseph Coalition in Italy. Aside from that, I know of no other actions of the Imperium.

Why?"

Er, um, isn't Mr. Sampson the DC diplomat to the Draki? I think you're out of context nuke :lol:

"The actions of the ITD? In what regard?"

"Your government is unaware of it's 'fellow NATO' member's plan for an agression against the Draki peoples then? We've a representative about to confront the ITD leader at that 'world confrence' about it as we speak."

His terminal chimes, and he consults it. He gasps, "This may be more serious than we earlier though. Our representative didn't make it to the meeting. It seems all sorts of gunfire erupted at this meeting of state leaders. What kind of security did they have there? Thank goodness the Draki don't send persons of value on such missions."

Mr. Sampson - Diplomat - DODC

"Gunfire! At the meeting! I hope that Pres..."

He pauses and quickly regains his composure.

"Security was very tight at that meeting. Special forces from all the nations attending.

But no, I have no knowledge of the existence of a plan like the one you mentioned. I would highly doubt that the ITD has any interests in attacking the Draki, especially with the nation currently in a civil war as well as an alliance against the JC.

Why do you believe that the ITD is planning on attacking you?"
