DayZ, Found a decent spot to rally before assault on Berezino, Dallas 29 and 26
I worked my way north of the Office building and long barn in the Lumber yard north of Berezino. I found a power plant and some warehouses (non enter-able) that is completely walled off save for two points of entry off the south wall. Easily defended and a great point to rally the troops when assaulting Berezino to the South. I also got a tent down in the north west corner of the compound. When moving north of the Sagewurks office building, look for the smoke stack and head for it, you will come to a wall with a chunck missing out of it. Thats the wall of the compound. Head in and move the the north along the west edge, go around a small building and you should see it. The tower has a ladder as does one of the 2 story buildings in the compound. Here is a map, the blue line is the wall, and the red dot the tent. Lootable buildings are circled in red. The southern one is the office, the western one is a group of 3 apartment buildings, and the north one a red brick building.
The X is where i logged. Somewhat wooded with a good view of the apartments when i spawn in. Also, there is a ton of Zeds there. I worked back and forth and only needed to shoot 5, luckily at the apartments so i didnt agro too many. But there were lots and it was slow going making my rounds to gear up.Last edited by DancingCorpse; 06-06-12 at 03:58 PM.

I'm in the process of testing whether fireplaces will store loot for any appreciable amount of time. They can hold up to 7 items including the wood pile they're made from (So 8, but taking the wood pile out breaks the fireplace). If they persist like tents do, we can store weapons in the actual tents, and ammo in surrounding fireplaces. (A weapon takes up 10 slots; a pistol, 4)
Edit: Oh, and beware of putting items in a full tent/fireplace. The storage device will DESTROY the item."In matters of style, swim with the currents... in matters of principle, stand like a rock."

Looks like someone raided our tent last night. Lost the MP5SD6, and some other rifle, an AKM I think. The Winchester is still in there, along with the 1911, but all the other important supplies have been taken. Might be time to find a new location.

They all tap into a master server. This means where you log off on one server is the same spot you will log in on another server. All your gear on you and in your pack will transfer. Tents are server specific. If you set a tent up on 26 then it will only be present on 26 and no where else.

Like loki said, your stats, location and gear are saved on a master server.
I put a tent down on 29 but shortly afterwards managed to get one down on 26. At that time 29 was running the beta patch, and 26 wasnt. So i tried to get one down on 26 for all the non beta users.
Anyway, the tents are persistent. Until you break the tent down, it will remain on that server permanently. The down side is, just like a real tent, when you aren't around to defend it, it can easily be looted.Last edited by SpecOpsScott; 06-07-12 at 02:48 PM.
