I'm all about this game right now. But...what is the point?

What are we? Hoarders? Raiders? Weenies?

Let's scout some clan or high pop servers and bring the pain. Possibly ones with forums.

Debating getting a second copy of Arma 2 for my other pc. Use that player as easy safe storage.

I don't believe buying a new copy is necessary. If I recall correctly from a conversation with Specop Scott, you just have to create a new profile from the main menu (Using a different name), and the DayZ Hive Server creates a new character linked to that new profile. Essentially, each profile gets its own character from the Hive Server.

Can I run the same copy of Arma 2 on another computer and the same time? Or do I drop a pile of goodies, logout and login with another character to pick the shit up? Possible?

No. Characters are linked to CD keys. Back when there were bandit skins, I tried creating a new profile after mine glitched and gave me -7k humanity and it didn't work.

I had my first encounter really helping another person. Guy asked me for help over voip in 104. I killed his zombies bandaged him and dropped him my extra pistol and food.

Depends on who you play with really. There are some TPG players who like to be super conservative(realistic) and stay away from any unneeded action and there are others who will want to raid a town/city looking for other players to kill. Just be sure you figure out which players like to do what, because there are some who are real assholes about it.
