"Finely Balanced Mediocrity"

I read this on the DayZ forum and just had to share here. I agree with the guy, as long as the high value items remain as a rare find item then it is just another aspect of the game for one to enjoy (i.e. go find one for yourself).

If you want finely balanced mediocrity, go play BF3.

I havent gotten the feeling that anything in the game is over powered. A Makarov in the hands of a stealthy assassin is quite effective. I agree with the rarity of items. We (I) must have well over 200 hours in game and i came across the MK48 Mod 0 for the first time the other night... you bet im holding on to that one, its special.

Same here. Seems that every PVP engagement I've been a part of has came down to skill or teamwork or a combination of the two not who had the bigger gun.

Who sees who first. And always having a plan and a back-up plan. Plus Teamwork and Skill.

Yup, it's not the gun, it's who sees who first. Because if someone has the drop on you and can't kill you before you get to somewhere safe, they usually disconnect like pussies before you can give them a taste of their own medicine.
