Re: Last man standing Sunday afternoon
Yeah, i saw the topic before the edit.
Call me strange but i like to play DayZ as a "survival" game. I see the point as avoiding death. To rush into battle for no other reason than to PvP, something im not great at to begin with, seems counter intuitive. Im not disparaging the games PvP aspect, it is needed to make the game what it is. The battles we have had have been pretty epic, but the reason for me is that they were random. If i need to loot for supplies and run into another group on the way there, or while looting, thats what i find engaging.

I'm 100% in agreement with Scott. DayZ is a survival/PvE game with PvP as a bonus, not as an end unto itself. Finding, fixing, surviving, and exploring is 80% of the game for -me-. Not looking for kills per se, but if I happen to see someone or have an idea where they are, hehehe, oh YEAH.
Don't get me wrong, I dearly love PvP. Have logged 1000's of hours on BF with most of it's incarnations (1942, Vietnam, BF2, 2142, BF3, along with most of their expansions). Also Unreal, Jedi Knight (did level designs), Tribes 1/2 (clan competitions), and the list goes on.
Having said that, this is a sandbox game per se. Make of it what you will. Just don't expect me to adhere to your view of the game.Sent from an undisclosed location.

Yes i have tried Fallujah couple of times,i did not like the map at all.
To much of an open space and just couple of spawn points so everybody knows them and just snipe for easy kills.
Also the airfield is death trap, trying to go there for better weapons is signing your own death.
