    Yup, it really works.

    Just tried it out and I now get a steady 60-70 fps at the warpgate and a steady 50-60 everywhere else. Glad that I can now finally play this game with decent fps.

    Unparking CPUs appears to help BF3 too.

    but it doesn't claer my problem.... My AMD x2 64 is antiquated for PS2... Guess what i'm getting for Christmas

    I just bought my step son a i3 ivy bridge with an ASRock MB. They totaled about $200, well on Cyber Monday that is.

    Did the unparking and after reboot my FPS is nearly doubled (up to 40/50) in the warpgate (intel q6700)

    Going to try this just one question should I re park them after gaming or is it okay leave them unparked?

    Seems to me that unparking will result in increased heat and power consumption, so probably best to reset after gaming.

    Just came across this utility which claims to unpark/park cores without rebooting: Disable CPU Core Parking Real-Time - No Reboot

    From what I've been able to find via Google, the benefit of unparking cores may only apply to hyperthreading CPU's, so I wouldn't expect to see any benefit with my i5 2500k. If anyone has evidence to the contrary, please let us know.
