Basically Free Realms (kids mmo) and Clone Wars Adventures (kids free browser game) give you free station cash for logging in. You don't have to download the game, just log in on the sites with your account. Both are Sony games and since SOE shares station cash across games it works in Planetside 2.

-edit - oh, $15 station cash card bought at walmart gets you an extra 500 SC for a total of 2000.
I tried to get one at gamestop, but I don't merit their time or consideration or sale after establishing the fact I am a pc gamer. Fucking place...
