Re: Team "Pacifist" signup.
It's my opinion that the people on your team choosing to hunt players need to be creating themselves another team. As it stands right now we have about 5-6 total active bandits.. 2-3 on per night.. vs a team of at least 6 who are now hunting players(Keep in mind that these were not the initial intentions of your team)
So to make this whole thing work, you either need to re-adjust your goals to your initial post or your active player hunters need to form themselves another team.

Re: Team "Pacifist" signup.
Im not confused about it at all. But, this is what the team has morphed into. The one player that has instigated the hunting has mentioned going independent, and i gave him my blessing to do so. Im sure he will hook up with you guys soon. Other than that player, only an independent has inflicted major damage.
As for the issue with the chopper the other night, im backing off on that. Krom was not really intending to make the kill shot, just get you guys to move around. We will still be on the lookout for you, but will go the other way when we find you, unless we are fired upon. THAT is more in line with the original design of the team.
Hope that helps to ease the tension.

Splitting up into more groups would work. The aggressive players in our group are still going to work with the core group of care bears because they know they can be trusted on various levels. At least that trust is yet to be broken. Its tough to explain, but alot of us have built an in game bond that is pretty tough to break.

Re: Team "Pacifist" signup.
There isn't really any tension Scott, and you know that.. The reason I got pissed off was because the server initially restarted and I along with geek crashed into a tree because of it. We were both in teamspeak during the first restart and I had to move channels to find out what happened. I eventually found out that the server was restarted in order to recover the chopper that had glitched out, or something like that. The next 2 restarts we were notified. So in a sense, to us, it meant that the server was restarted so the pacifists could pilot it around again as we(bandits) didn't know where it was.
Then the incident happened. The three of us, after all of the restarts, geared up and began pursuit. The pursuit was fun up until we were locked down by the chopper. The three of us in gillie suits heard the chopper and stopped moving. Krom took some pot shots in our general direction. As you turned into the north I moved to a different tree and about 3 seconds later I was instakilled by a random chopper shot. Soon after, Stegg was gunned down by someone who I can only imagine, was either in the chopper and bailed or was made aware of our location by vocal means.
So all in all the day started shitty and ended shitty. We were gunned down by what I felt was an unfair advantage attained by an unfair and possibly unethical way.
Also...I am under the impression that these problems with the teams and balance will go away as we gain more members..Last edited by Warprosper; 12-31-12 at 02:33 PM.

I don't understand why some are complaining about the server. This is DayZ. There are no rules and anything goes. PERIOD. No matter what teams we set up and what intentions we make "clear" things will never go as planned. That is what makes this game amazing. You can choose how you play at any given second.
What I have learned from the past is that Scott, Krom, Lefty and Company are fucking very good at this game. Yes it is frustrating as hell to hunt them each and every night and most of the time find no trace of them, but that just means they are doing exactly what they said they were. Then one night you get on and aren't expecting them to come after you so you farm the Stary Tents and "Bang!" you get picked off. Yup it was Lefty... You don't know how they are going to play. You have to be on your toes at all times.
When the server population picks up it will be harder and harder to go unnoticed each night. I know, I feel the same way, I want to come into contact with enemies each night, but I'm not going to criticize the Pacifists for being good at what they do like I and some have done in the past. Their time will come and so will mine. Let's just hope it's an honorable death and not some fucking hacker.
