I know for a fact that Krom and Scott has offered their assistance. But maybe we shouldn't wait for people to offer. Things aren't going as we planned. This is not the fault of Enf, Nuckle, or Hub. Our main goal is to bring people to TPG to play DayZ isn't it? And that means we need to get our server up ASAP. So maybe it's time to start asking for help? People with coding experience/qualifications. We can't always expect to have things done by only the High admins.

If we want to keep working things out the way we have, fine by me. TPG is my home and I'll won't play anywhere else. But when looking out for my home and her reputation, I would hope we do everything in our power to get this server up right away.

Well you know that's not going to happen but there's much more to it than that. We need help researching what mod is best to be using, what config changes or addons people are calling for, etc... It's a more concentrated think tank of people without having to waste time wading through most of this drivel.

If we go by this mindset that "if we don't get this up like yesterday they'll go somewhere else" then we might as well not even bother with a server once we miss the Early Adopter train. Or we can do what we do with every other server we hosted a strive to get a high quality, ala carte featured server that brings in people well after this first stage.

It just sucks because I'm sure the majority out there are being patient and understanding and to you guys i apologize. Unfortunately it's usually the sour grapes that are the most outspoken. I can assure you that hours and hours are being put into this to get it right. This is just a little different than anything we have setup before.

Yes, I know how things work. That being said even though I rarely even play this game I am willing to do whatever I can to help make our server"perfect" as quickly as possible because it is for the betterment of TPG as a whole. I stated many moons ago that the days of games that have 5 year staying power are likely long gone, and because of that we need to take advantage of the flavor of the month while it is still in the current month in order to harness as many new teamplayers as we can. Long story short I am offering to step up. Use me, abuse me, or ignore me...

From what I have noticed, the newer players that have joined the Dayz TPG server have stuck around. They havent stopped playing here, even with all the kinks we're trying to work out.

Good point. And to add to that, the few frustrations that we experience here and now are a hell of a lot better than the frustrations we experienced 6 months ago playing pub servers where our characters got glitched to death repeatedly, our shit was continuously map hacked and we were victims of every hack imaginable.

Regardless of the hiccups the server is experiencing, I've had a better time on our server with our regs than I ever have had and I've been playing this game since the beginning of the summer. That's probably why some of the new peeps we've picked up along the way have stayed, they recognize the community we have here and the leadership who works to give us this server.
