    The problem with Deathmatch is that the most skilled people tend to dominate and in a game like this, with no support structure (heals, revives, etc) it's like you said... tactical gaming vs team play.

    I'm not big on the team dm or team last man standing modes but they could be temporarily useful until we get more team objective maps and the ctf mode I mentioned.

    It's really about grouping up with your team. You very rarely get in 1v1 without someone intervening. Most of my kills comes from jumping in and ambushing. I'm fine with LTS and not deathmatch though.

    I really don't see the difference between LTS & TDM. Either way you're trying to eliminate the other team(s) by killing them. That's the only objective.

    Yeah, this. LTS is basically CS minus an objective. KOTH may be a good addition. I know 4 maps ain't much, but a lot of people seem to flock to the TO servers.. and there aren't that many more maps anyway.

    In this particular case though, tactical gaming IS teamplay.

    I would also argue that in Chiv's deathmatch play, it doesn't take a lot of skill to dominate. Someone going vanguard (or even sword-knight) and constantly spamming the LMB "sweep" attack will rack up an impressive number of kills because of their reach, broad attack arc, and ability to hit (and kill) multiple at once.

    That being said, I will concede that more often than not, the more skilled players are located towards the top of the leaderboards....but that is the case in all modes of gameplay. When MF isn't just screwing around, and play what we're good with rather than trying to unlock new weapons on different classes, you'll often see us towards the top of the leaderboards.

    The other modes are fun but........ well everyone covered it. Glad to see KOTH and for sure CTF when that comes out.

    The difference between LTS vs. TD is in TD people just run around aimlessly looking for kills, essentially FFA with teams. LTS teams and players tend to stick together more to eliminate the other team. I have been in several instances where there are just a few players left on both teams that ends up in an epic 2v2/3v3 battle for the victory. You tend to get more team coordination in LTS vs. TD. I just think 1 or 2 maps would be perfectly acceptable but am completely fine either way

    Someone voted an LTS map a couple nights ago and it went okay for a couple of rounds but then the server really cleared out. We had a full server at the end of the previous map and then 10 players going into the next one.
