Hence sandbox. Some people like building sand castles, others like kicking over sand castles, and some, like Kraker, just want to sit in the corner and eat the sand.

One of the best times I had was playing Taviana, Before it was put on Dayz_DB. No clues, no loot tables, figure it out for yourself.
Exploring an empty city. I would say Private Hives Saved DAYZ a long time ago, The Hackers and constant rearrangement of spawn loot tables. Heck does anyone remember the time Before The melee Ax? The hope of finding a friendly.

I would agree that private hives saved DayZ. At least for me. Rampant hacking became ridiculous; if server population pushed past 25 or so, mass hackercide was sure to follow.
And besides, there's nothing like guys popping in from a parallel universe to Break my Immersion, man.

what i was talking about was back when there were no "other servers" everyone was running the same server i haven't really played much since just hasn't been as enjoyable for me. not that it isn't enjoyable its still fun but i would rather play something else thats more enjoyable like League of Legends than the current dayz. hoping the standalone brings me back.
