Bad news for Server Hosts. Looks like this will be the Main Killer of DayZ SA. The Servers are going to look like shit.

I'll grab it, I remember a recent interview or devcast where Dean mentioned he was really worried about the public seeing the current build - recommended only to those who want to play to help it get better as its not super polished... In other words hardcore players like KB will understand the millions of bugs.. Its a beta for a reason.

Just played for an hour. It was super fun and felt like the old days of the DayZ Mod. Of course in a month it will probably return to KOS tactics, but as of right now they are going in a good direction. I was definitely one of the doubters, but I was pleasantly surprised with the game I just played. No problems with performance issues at all, ran great to be honest. Just lots of inventory related bugs and such.

Not responding to you when I say this Pint, but it has the same amount of bugs and issues as the original DayZ mod had when it came out. As much as I want to complain that with all the time they've taken to finally release the standalone the state of the game shouldn't be this poor, but I'm still happy it is released. Like I said, it's as if I'm playing the mod for the first time again with all the issues.

That being said I'm happy with all the improvements they have made to the game. It's going to be another long journey, but I'm excited just thinking about what this game will be like a year from now.

Dayz a year ago was a mod slapped together by one dude in his spare time. This is a release from a team of full time people, saying the old dayz was this and that so why should this be any better is not comparing like with like. If I wanted to play a shit version of Dayz I would install 1.6.something find a server that is running it and save the 30 bucks.

The standalone should of AT LEAST been a step up from the mods current state of development not ten steps back.

We been playing on random servers(your character with all the gear is transfered to every server you play)
And No BMRF do not host a server...public server files are not released yet.
