Case mods
Since we got this new, shiny forum about consoles; I was wondering if anyone has done case mods to their consoles?
Here's my 360 I did a while back. Never got around to finishing it. It currently sits on my shelf (RROD). Got a new arcade, deciding what case mod I'm going to do with it. I'm thinking a storm trooper theme.
With all the guts out and a window in the HDD.
Near completion.
"Dusted" the plexi glass with gold paint.
Dremel work is a bit amature, but it was my first time. I had just saw Iron Man and decided that was going to be my theme.

Re: Case mods
Problem is, that voids your warranty, so if you want to return it once it once it RRODs, you are kinda screwed. Unless you bought a case by itself, and just used that to cut and design a new case mod.
keep that in mind, you cannot return a 360 like that.

Re: Case mods
Oh I know I can't return it like that, that's why I bit the bullet and just bought a cheap arcade version and stuck in my hdd. And I've tried doing the whole replace the "x-clamps", let it over heat thing. It's not 100% effective; a swing and miss kind of thing. I was going to light that puppy up! But, RROD ruined it. It worked for a long time with the case like that, so I know I didn't screw anything up; it just was at the end of it's life. There are some sick 360's out there. Water cooling, the works!
