Anyone else pick up this PS3 gem yet?

I've never had so much fun getting my ass handed to me repeatedly in a game... honestly. And I'm still in the "tutorial" stage.

Looks like a great game for western rpg lovers.

I bought it. Loved the difficulty, for about a week. Then I kind of had an epic meltdown with the game after I couldn't get through the first real level.

I hope you stuck with it... it is an amazing game.

I beat it with two separate characters a while back and got stuck in New Game+ with both of them. It's TOUGH.

I probably would have stuck with it, but other games came out, and I kind of forgot all about it until this post. I might try beating the first level again here soon though.

A friend of mine is absolutely obsessed with it. We bought Borderlands together, and he won't come out to play because Demon's Souls has him by the nuts. That, and Uncharted 2.

Demon Souls I found hard for about the first 10-15 levels depending on your class after that you should be fairly well off so long you stay away from act 5 for a while (till you get a good fire base weapon and poison/plague resistance) once you know the key to killing the bosses they are all a joke minus the final guy and then its alot of dodging and rolling around with a stab or two in between the dodging/rolling(don't go toe to toe with him or you'll get soul drained more times than your or I can count and will delevel you every time he hits.).

Yeah, so I started over as the mage class and all I've got to say is it is MUCH easier now! I bested the first level in one shot all the way through the boss. Now I'm just trying to figure out where to go next without giving myself too much of a headache.
