Brütal Legend (or "All Hail the Umlaut!")

Anyone else pick this up today? It's loading onto my 360 HD as we speak, so I'll be able to give initial impressions later for anyone interested.

I picked up the demo a few days back on PS3... It's pretty sick, but nothing is going to make me put down Demon's Souls for the next few weeks. I've already logged 40+ hours in that game!

My roomate ended up not likin the game... everythin was very choppy he said. that and the bosses were too easy. He told me to hit him if buys another game that doesnt have guns in it.

I installed the game to my HD and didn't notice any real slowdown, save for a few times when I flew down into a huge melee during the stage battles, which by the way is a really quick way to die later on. And as for the bosses being too easy? What difficulty was he playing on? And by bosses, was he referring to Lionwhite et al during the stage battles, or the spider queen type battles during the hack and slash stages? Because unless you can catch the boss completely by himself during a stage battle, which almost never happens, with a large contingency of grunts and ranged attackers to back you up, they're extremely difficult to bring down, especially on the brutal difficulty level.

Not sure what lvl he was playin at. I notice the choppiness myself... on the storyline scenes the scene was all choppy like like watchin somthin on tv with a bad cable connection. We checked it with the other games and it only did it for Brutal legend.

Try installing it to the HD and running it from there if you haven't already. Seems to help a lot with some of the newer games, namely Batman:AA and NBA2K10.
