From what video footage I've seen so far I really like where it appears to be going. From what I can see it looks like they're going back to a side-scrolling based fighter instead of a Tekken/Virtual Fighter/Soul Caliber-ish full arena fighter.

The combos from the videos I've seen, if those are actually going to be the kind of combos available in gameplay, also look really good. I also think that if the tag-teamming feature that seems like they're going to be bringing in is done correctly it might also be a nice touch.

Overall, I'll be watching out for this game. The series has really taken a bad turn since they went to the full 3D arena style of play with Deadly Alliance and it's nice to see them, at least somewhat, getting back to their roots.
