360 or PS3?
This is meant for people with both systems and that have a concrete reason for preferring one console over the other. I specifically dont want homers in here touting their unconditional love for their PS or XBox. Save it for your cats.
One note, I have BluRay so that is not a big factor in the decision.
Please after you vote if you have a reason or two give me a short answer.
The things I have in mind are quality of picture, quality and number of games, stability of the console etc.
I am torn fellas, let me hear from you. I have never owned a PS, but had an XBox and loved it, so I am leaning that way, but something is telling me to go with a PS3.Last edited by sacredsarcasm; 12-20-10 at 07:34 PM.

1. Where the hell have you been hiding?
2. I don't own both, but recently bought a PS3. I did so mainly because I have friends that have them, and for the Blu-Ray.
3. My vote would be based on 3 things. First, which has the games you think you will play most? Both have many games that cross platforms, but both also have exclusive titles like Halo, Gran Turismo, etc. Second, do you plan to play online with friends, and if so what do they have? Third, stability of the system. Many more horror stories about RROD than I have heard about the PS series, but not sure if they are less frequent these days.
Not a homer, but based on those I chose the PS3.

Re: 360 or PS3?
I love shooter games and halo is no exception, so I prefer the Xbox.
RRoD is a annoying issue and I have no clue if the new Slims are any better...also the xbox Slim I've been told is known to eject the disc if something bumps into it(motion sensor opening)
I know PS3 has 3D support, while the Xbox doesn't.
really bad with this comparing stuff when I have not played PS3 in depth enough to compare, but without interest for BluRay PS3 is probably not what you wantLast edited by SpiritOfF1re; 12-20-10 at 08:24 PM.

Re: 360 or PS3?
Both are great.
The major defining factors are like civil said. What games do you want to play and what console are your friends using.
If you can't decide buy both.
EDIT: I do prefer the Xbox controller though, but heard they make one similar to the Xbox for the PS3.Last edited by jakt; 12-20-10 at 08:21 PM.

Re: 360 or PS3?
PS3, not so much a fan boy homer, but while friends are sending their systems back in, mine is still going strong. My friend told me they sent him a different 360 this time and he hasnt had any problems. maybe they have fixed the problem finally. I like the ps3 bluray because its faster loading than some others i have seen. all the games i play are on both systems and I dont play online so. mostly sports and racing games on it.

Re: 360 or PS3?
For variety of games and what not the system are equal. Each system has exclusive games to it, but its just a preference of what type of game you want to play. I know off the top of my head the PS3 has exclusive rights to God of War, Uncharted, Killzone and Infamous. Xbox has exclusive rights to the Halo franchise, Gears of War, KOTOR (im pretty sure they have a PC version, but console rights belong to xbox). The upside to the PS3 is that the Blu Ray drive is faster than the 360, but the user interface is not as friendly. The 360 user interface is a lot more friendly and easier to navigate I think. The 360 controller is as close to perfect you will find for any console out there, while the PS3 feels light and very fragile. As far as arcade games and online content, the systems are about the same. All in all both consoles are very very close to each other. Its a tough choice, might as well get both if you can afford it.
