Re: Community activity
Servers are active, regs are not. I think a tourney is a step in the right direction. 10v10 sounds wild to me. You're going to end up with 4 teams (max)? Scheduling is going to be difficult between 10 people unless we are doing a nightly draft or something. Though, we could tie it to individual points and the top 10 people go 5v5 for championship. That's something new, message me if you guys figured it out.
Myself and huh? talked about it -- we think a 3v3 tourney (1 site) is viable and relatively easy to coordinate. Draft style picks as always. Even if we only come out with 25 players it'd still be 8 teams, so enough to make a bracket.
I do like the idea of more players and less teams. I just do not know how you'd go about coordinating it. Let's keep the ball rolling and try to get some plan together for post-election. I'll message you later taog/Kaido and see what you guys have in mind. If we can get together a group of four or so people I think we can properly coordinate.
People interested in coordinating this:
1. Affinity
2. taog
3. Kaido
4. huh?
5. JudeDeath (support and logistics)
I'll make a steam group and we can get discussion going. Let's make this happen!

Alternatively, I'm thinking about your 10v10 idea. We could make it a weekly occurrence rather than a tournament? I'm trying to get 10 man pugs going, but Ascendent's server is not up to speed yet with a kosher install. Still figuring GO server settings up, as the config is all bunked up.Last edited by Affinity; 10-23-12 at 03:47 PM.

Re: Community activity
Im relatively new to the server, been playing it quite a bit for the past month, and just joined the server. This community and server seems awesome, great people, and great playing. I would love to help with anything to the best of my ability. I have lots of free time due to the fact i'm a college student with no job. Anyways, let me know if i can help with anything. Cheers

Re: Community activity
I am less active in forums since returning because some of the regulars were quite frankly rude to me and didn't respect my different opinions. I found it easier and less argumentative to avoid the forums.
The last tournament was fun until people took it too seriously and used it as a way to insult or demean others, and while I had real life reasons for stepping away from the game, it encouraged me to take a break from CS sooner than may have been required of me.
I'd rather just play the game and let other people hash it out on the forums.
p.s. I'm only posting today because mebad asked me to check out his poll. I'm a sucker for forums though. =PLukeR liked this post
