Thread: Totally thinking about picking up cs again, was just wondering if TPG is the same?

I hardly played cs:go, but i own it. I've been thinking about playing again, but i really wanted to know if TPG was the same as it was for source? It's been a fucking minute, it's totally awesome recognizing some of your names still haha. Holla!

In short, no nothing like it. Most people who play usually just play match making. We are trying to breathe new life back into tpg though, and trying get have some semblance of the old days. If you want to join just watch for posts about priming and if someone can link I think there is a steam group we post announcements to, to get more people to join.

Yeah the inclusion of matchmaking changed things drastically. I hop on when I can, but the server isn't full all the time like it used to be

Truth. TPG totally made me love the game 10x more than i ever did before. It feels wrong thinking about not playing like that again. I need to get into something again, and i still have urges to play CS. Lol does anyone play source anymore?

Edit: i remember getting hella pissed spamming the server refresh trying to get into a game.. that's when you know you got some quality lolol

If it is getting primed before everyone hops on match making, you will probably see the server fill up with some regs and some new guys as well. A lot of faces from CSS didn't make the switch over to GO, but there is still a good handful of regulars from back then around as well.

Edit: No I don't really think anyone plays much of source anymore. I think 1.6 is still more active than source nowadays. Valve actively supports GO and releases updates almost weekly, so it's best to to stick with the game getting support not only from Valve, but other sponsors out there helping with tournaments.

I guess it's not too surprising, i don't think i have played for at least 2 years. That's too bad really, those servers were something special.

They were special. If you didn't play at TPG with CS:S and wanted to find teamplay you probably played 5v5 competitive. Now the CSGO has that built in "MatchMaking".

Pvt click on my Steam icon and friend me. I play almost every night with a lot of TPG regulars. Most of us are decently high ranks so we face tough competition but as long as a player follows the calls and is willing to learn we will play with any rank.

That's not supposed to come off elitist/full of ourselves, but some will take it that way no matter what I say. We like to have a good time but we are always playing to win. Let's play tonight.
