There's been an incredible amount of hackers in CSGO lately; I imagine there's always been a lot but lately it just seems ridiculous. Must have been the sale - hopefully this new VAC update will stop people who bought it on other accounts

There is every hack under the sun. Majority of hackers try to hide it which means you will rarely see speed hacking and other blatantly obvious hacks, but they are still out there.

The "smurf" account needs to be cracked down on even more than it is now. I know many TPGers who have multiple accounts but the negatives outweigh the positives in my opinion. You should only be able to buy one account in essence and once that account is tainted...adios.

Valve is on top of this shit though which is pretty amazing/awesome if you think about it. Yea hackers will keep finding ways to bypass, but valve will keep countering.

Hacking in video games should be made illegal. Not asking that people get their door broken down by the FBI, but fucking stop them from playing the game.

I hate hackers as much as the next guy, but that would be a terrible idea. It would be too difficult to blur the line between hackers and legitimate modders, because in many games, the modders are breaking things from the original intent or editing game files to make the changes.

Then what is valve doing now? You think every person complaining about their accounts getting VAC banned on the steam forums is lying and they are all rightfully banned? I mean there has to be some people like you mentioned that are modding in some way that also got VACed.

I say fuck em all. If a couple modders get VACed oh well.

They are video game terrorists and looking at what I've seen gamers evolve into, hacking/ cheating is only going to get worse. What I'm asking isn't stupid/impossible, just someone with the tools needs the balls to do it. Valve is on the right track with their VAC software.

Much of what's fun and interesting in games today is the direct result of people looking for limits and glitches in engines, or breaking into and messing around with the code.

Rocket jumping, for example.
