The somewhat recent AWP scoped movement speed nerf has driven me a bit farther from the AWP than I was. No longer can I win a mid peek on Mirage as T, to name one example. Overall its shifted the balance a bit more toward the defensive playstyle, to be seen if its for better or worse.

Either way I suppose its alright since I am a rifler at heart. Unless I need to Scout.

I was aware of the change in movement speed when zoomed in with the AWP, but as Ive said before somewhere I never really change anything physically or mentally. If something does change in the way I play it's almost subconsciously. I learn from muscle memory; what works and what doesn't work.

As for your example when on T-side Mirage, I still take Mid as aggressively and the same way I always have. Maybe I try not to scope-in until the very last moment of my peek, but I feel Ive always done that with the AWP anyways. With that specific peek and others, the key is to get to the spot un-scoped as fast as possible and scope-in as soon as you hit the peek corner. So even with the nerfed speed you are still trying to do the same thing that you were before the nerf, just more unforgiving now.

With the nerfed speed I try not to move when scoped-in. Before you could get away with it; now and with the always better accuracy when static I try to move as little as possible when scoped.

The real miracle is that i been playing with people from TPG. The other miracle is that no one asked if i was my mom (though im sure no one even noticed who i was (sneaky beaky like)).
