Thread: Bannable Offenses?

Hey gang, I was just reading through some old banned post for entertainment and read a couple things that caused me to take heed.

I dont use any scripts for anything, but I have been squat jumping by pressing spacebar(jump) followed by Shift(crouch) to jump onto tall objects ever since the first day I played CS. I'm pretty good at it and I have done it on Aztec to get on some boxes near double doors. Based on bigdog's comments, I want to make sure I am interpreting them correctly. Is this "squat-jumping" as I've always called it a bannable offense, or is the use of a script the part that makes it illegal?

Here's what trips me up about this.

Say I clear a room of a couple enemies and stand in a corner to reload my gun. As soon as I start reloading another enemy charges in and I switch to my pistol by hitting the "2" key (whilst reloading my other gun)... would that be bannable? I only ask for clarification because again... it doesnt happen often, but it HAS happened and I HAVE done it and I dont want to be banned.

I would say that if this is your play style, and you've been regular enough to get to 426 posts without getting banned your probably in the clear at this point...

good statement......If you have a script that controls things, that is where you get into trouble that is different than jumping and hitting the squat button......also, if switch from your rifle to knife or pistol, no problem.....If you have a script that lets you unload all your bullets and you switch and switch and your your rifle is all reloaded because of the script, you now have a reload script and so on......

Do you see the differences now?

yeah, i didnt even know something like that was possible.
