Hello, kids, finally a word about single player mode, i'm looking for it whole morning (it's not easy to find anything here).
Is there a chance to stop and save your game, in sp mode? Or i must play no sleep to the end, no food, no tv, no dating, no work...

There's no way to save mid-campaign, but all the campaigns should only take 30 minutes to an hour unless you're playing on Expert.

Wouldn't they just stand there and do nothing though? I mean they only follow human players around, they don't move around independently.

Yes, they'll stand and wait, but you can't save and exit game. You know, i'd like to do something else. Bye

I'm also killed very often and in that case it's useful to be stored

Yeah they will get items, move to help up incapped players etc, but they don't independently move through the map to get to the end. If it was just four bots they would just stand there attacking SI and stuff that comes near them.

Incorrect. The bots do in fact move through the maps independently in an attempt to get to the end. They have some problem starting some crescendos and completing others (Dead Air 3/Dead Center 4, respectively), but for the most part they do fine on their own.

I use this whenever I feel like having a snack or something. I set them up to play through the levels, and I play director.

Really? I've never seen the bots play by themselves, but they always seem to just follow me or other players around... but if that's the case, I take it back!
