A possible new addition to CS

    Fellow TTP'ers,

Wanted to give you guys a heads up, A very good friend of mine from College, named Jason just recently bought CSS and DOD, I mentioned to him immediately about ttp's server and website, so if you end up playing with him please give him a warm welcome. ( I do not know the in game name he has chosen but he is living in Boston) Give him a chance, I know he will probably be a bit rusty (we used to play during all nighters in college) but he's a great guy and a great teamplayer on and off the battlefield. Once I find out his in game name, I will let you know and hopefully he will be checking out the website as well.

    Thanks,

    tgross791

    Dual Pistols: overpowered or not?

I was wondering if you people think dual wielding pistols with unlimited ammo with a decent reload and rate of fire is overpowered? IMO it is. I think of them as a noob's last resort when he/she is out of ammo, I only use the pistols when im down because thats the only weapon you can use. Instead of wasting my ammo on a wave of horde, I use a combination of melee and well placed shots(I prefer the auto shotty over the AR), so I normally don't have to worry about my stock of ammo.

    Not really.

What is a person supposed to do when they run out of ammo- melee the rest of the map? take damage?
(in vs you can only melee soo many times too.)

with guns like the uzi its all too easy to run out of ammo quickly, especially when the ai director decides to not give you ammo or teir 2 weapons until the end of a map. >.>

I dont think the pistol is too overpowered. its a good last resort, especially when a person is incapped - and besides...everyone loves the akimbo assasin achievement

I don't find it overpowered at all. When a horde of zombies is rushing at you, your teammates are covered in bile, two of your teammates are huntered and the last one is smokered, I don't think those two pistols are going to be all that useful.

The problem is, dual pistols are not a true last resort weapon. 'Last resort' means you wouldn't want to use them if you have another weapon. That's not the case. Heck, dual pistols are better in every way than an Uzi. As for every other weapon except the AS, you're better off using your pistols until you see a horde or a special infected. In other words, that's not a 'last resort' weapon - it's more of a 'first resort' weapon.

I don't think of the dual pistols as a noob's weapon. But they are definitely cheap and overpowered. And I agree with the OP that if you have an auto shotgun you really don't need the pistols at all unless you're down. So in that sense, I guess the dual pistols do become a true 'last resort' weapon.
