i haven't met at least ONE child that has behaved or played the game maturely.

    I have bad lucks maybe?

IMO, the perfect age level to play is about 16-17.
    High Schoolers.

I'd have to agree that I like playing with high schoolers.

I hate how everyone assumes that when you're 16/17, you MAGICALLY become mature enough to play online. It's as if they think there's some kind of countdown going on inside your brain until you're the "right" age. Anyone, and I mean anyone has the potential to be as mature or as immature as they want to be. I've been going on the internet since I was 7, and it's matured me a lot. Sure, it's better to play with someone who doesnt sound like they haven't even started puberty yet, but in the end they have as much of a right to play as you do. And if they can play in a mature, friendly and respectful way then why does it matter?

The thing is, little 12,13 years old are USUALLY annoying.
i never said they ALL are, i said USUALLY.
also, 16,17 year old kid's voice sounds much better than a 12 year old before puberty.
i never said certain age is mature and other is immature, i'm just stating the trend these days.

I leave if I join a game with kids talking, or call a votekick when I'm in a game and a kid joins. I'm 26, it's an M rated game, and playing with kids is just annoying. Most of the time they're terrible and immature, and even if they don't meet those criteria, they still have annoying voices. I'm sure there are a lot of kids playing who don't suck and don't use the mic often or to annoy. There are probably a couple on my friends list that I don't know about. I'm cool with that. It's when they get vocal that it starts to get annoying.

When I was a kid I played M rated games, so I'm not knocking kids playing the game. I just don't want to play with them. There is a minor social aspect to the game due to voice chat and I find it to be a lot more fun gaming with adults.

However, if you kick a child out of the game because of their voice then you should be ashamed. If you say you cannot stand their voice, well I hope you don't have kids or be around kids. Or if kick them out because of their age alone, then well I hope you don't have kids or be around kids.
Haha, I have no problem with kids. But gaming is my hobby and my break from kids. Left 4 Dead is an M rated game and it's within my right to avoid playing with kids. My post is within the context of gaming and L4D specifically, nothing more. As gaming becomes more and more social by nature, it's only natural that a person will have the most fun while playing within their age group.

I'm 13 and I have played video games my entire life. I was really young when I started playing Wolfenstein 3D which is apparently the first FPS ever created. I played it before I even got into school and ever since then I have loved video games. I think I'm more mature than the people who make fun of my voice because, believe it or not, I don't live to please anybody but myself. It's not like I have some spirit life before I am born that lets me choose which body I get and what the characteristics are. So if my voice sounds bad to you then that's not my problem. What I really don't understand is if I'm good at the game then why do you have a problem with me? My voice right? Mute me. If anyone of you played with me you would know that I'm probably the best 13 year old you have ever even played with on Xbox Live. It has come to the point where I just want to be in a party with my friends rather than having slurs and stereotypes always being hollered at me. Some of you may be thinking that I have excellent grammar, because I do. well hi how r u. That's what most 13 year olds type but you can bet that I rarely do that. None of you should be hating the younger players just because of their voice. Just quit whining about it and play the damn game!
