    Edit:
Obviously lots of people are playing T2, why not? But it wont replace CS. I've seen a lot of new people checking out the servers and thats a plus. .

Hell no.... CS:S is and will always be my Fav... I think TF2 will be a good "non CSS " fps to play...

I love tf2, but I'll never abandon cs. I do share your concern smoken. I think we'll see fewer guys on the cs:s servers, but it'll eventually fill up again.

I got the same concern, but CSS is my first love. nothing can replace it, well except a week of tests.

    I don't have TF2 yet either, but I won't abandon CS:S.

I would have to agree, tf2 is fun (i don't have it yet) but i think the CS will fill up quickly or hopefully stay at its prime

Good question. This might be a factor had it been about a year or so ago. But now, ttp has way to many regulars for css to go down. Half the css population could most likely switch over, and both regular css servers would not be in jeopardy of being empty. TTP is growing too fast for one game to affect another. Excellent point though.

Re: Will or can T2 slowly kill out CS and the heavy action on the serverS?

TF2, just like DoD, is a different kind of game. Some people....many people....are not going to go for the gameplay style....the persistence/respawning.....the graphical differences (not real looking)....the arcadishness.

If TF was such a CSS killer....there wouldn't be a CS at all. TF far predated CS's existence. Same for DoD.

My guess is TF will blow up, like DoD did...and then fade back. Only the die hard will keep it going (like us). Only those that play for the love of the game. the band wagoners will go back to their CS fix.

Also, the system requirements of TF2 are higher than CSS. Just like DoD.....it's going to keep a lot of players from crossing over.

They are both in my roots, I played both of them religiously in the 8th grade. Tf2 is insanely refreshing though.
