CSS Demo questions

1st is there a way to record voip chat in the demo?

2nd is there a way to change the location of there the demos are saved to?

3rd Does anyone know of any good demo management systems? (auto record in game demos with automatic naming schemes and such) tried googling it but i came up with nothing.

4th ive tried coding one but i cannot find a method to record the date

or any random relevant number for the demo name. If anyone has any ideas... I would be extremely grateful....

I always name the demo by date and such, or team that I'm going against w/ date. There really isn't a better way than that.

Also you can't record your VOIP programs such as vent or TS inside the demo but a really nice program you can run is FRAPS that records everything, and it has a good management system. The only problem is it takes allot of system memory to run it while your playing a game.

Do note that the shareware version of FRAPS records really really short videos, I'm not saying you "should" but I'm sure it's easy to find a cracked version somewhere.

It's probably more usefull than a .dem file because it records in .wmv and it records what you see skins etc, unlike the demos recorded that only play through the game program.

i meant the in game voip chat,

ya i name mine the the format of: date-map-time-pub/scrim but it takes a few seconds before each game and i have to stop the one from the previous map. Im extremely lazy and was looking for an automated system like the one ut2k4 has.

That actually records automatically from what I have seen. Everything you can hear from CS will be on the demo.

Easiest way to pull up demos for playing is typing "demoui" into console.

And yeah the demos record what you hear in game, but they don't record what you say.
