Hostage Shields

Is it considered exploitative to use the hostages as meatshields when defending as a terrorist on hostage maps? Like, hiding behind the hostages in cs_office's projector room or the hostage shack on cs_compound. In most cases, a good flashbang or two would give you enough time to aim past the hosties and waste the terrorist(s), but I know a lot of servers have autokick settings if you kill too many hostages in a round or kill too many hostages on a map or something like that.

I don't play CSS and so don't take y opinion with any weight.

But isn't that the whole point of taking hostages in real life? :P

We have the same autokicks in place, as part of Mani. I think it's any more than two in a short span will get you the boot.

As far as using them as a shield, I think Arreo's right, use them if you want. But keep in mind they don't really do much in the way of bullet shields, they're paper tigers, it seems.

One thing I've always thought was cheap is the "strategy" of CT killing the two hostages in projector to win the round. There should be a bigger penalty than losing cash for doing that.

It doesn't matter to me when a t is behind a hostage, I shoot anyway cause it's either they kill me while I try to aim around the hostage or I shoot the hostage and them.
